Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site or in our apps. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, their name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers, and course details they need to learn, and login credentials for the Student, Parent, or Teacher app.

Users may visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site- or app-related activities

• Consent to Communication for Service-Related Purposes

By registering for an account with TarteeleQuran and providing your telephone number, you expressly consent to be contacted by us for administrative and transactional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, communication regarding your registration, scheduling of trial classes, confirmation of your regular class timings, and any necessary follow-ups from our administrative team. We may use messaging services such as WhatsApp to facilitate a prompt and efficient scheduling process.

• Communication Regarding Registration and Scheduling

To ensure a seamless onboarding and learning experience, our coordination team may contact you via WhatsApp, email, or phone call using the contact details you provide. This initial contact will be for the primary purpose of:

• Confirming your registration and trial class details.
• Assisting you with the scheduling of your classes with an assigned teacher.
• Providing you with necessary setup information for your online classes.

• User Provided Contact Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information, including your phone number. Should your contact details change, it is your responsibility to update them by informing our administrative office. TarteeleQuran will not be held liable for any lapse in service or communication resulting from outdated or incorrect contact information. All communication from our official administrative numbers, including on WhatsApp, will be for the purposes of managing your enrollment and schedule. Please be advised that direct communication with tutors for scheduling is not permitted; all scheduling matters must be routed through the TarteeleQuran administration.

Information Collected Through Our Apps

The Student, Parent, and Teacher apps are used to attend, host, and monitor live online Quran classes, communicate between students, teachers, parents, and administration, and receive class-related notifications. The data below is collected across the apps; where a feature is specific to one app, it’s noted.

• Account and login information — username and a securely stored password, used to authenticate you and connect you to your enrolled classes, students, or teaching schedule, depending on your role.
• Class and call data — when you join a live class, the app connects to our video/audio calling infrastructure to transmit your camera and microphone stream to the other class participants, and records basic call metadata (start/end time, participants, connection quality) to support scheduling and troubleshooting. Class calls may be recorded for quality assurance and dispute-resolution purposes; recordings are retained according to our internal retention schedule and are not sold or shared with third parties outside the relevant class.
• Camera and microphone access — requested only to enable live video/audio during scheduled classes (Student, Parent, and Teacher apps). This access is never used to record or transmit media outside of an active class session.
• Push notification token (Student and Parent apps) — the app registers a device token with our notification delivery service so we can deliver notifications about incoming calls, messages, and class reminders, even when the app is closed. This token is tied to your device, not shared with advertisers, and is used solely for this purpose.
• In-app chat messages — messages you send to teachers, students, parents, support staff, or administration through the apps’ chat feature are stored so that conversation history is available to you and the relevant staff.
• Payment information (Parent app) — when a parent makes a tuition payment, card details are entered directly into a secure, hosted checkout page provided by our payment processor. TarteeleQuran does not receive or store your card number; we retain only confirmation of payment (amount, date, status) for billing records.
• Referral information (Parent app) — if you use the app’s referral feature, we collect the contact details of the person you refer, and use them solely to extend your referral offer.
• Payout and earnings information (Teacher app) — for teachers, the app displays salary and lesson-progress reports tied to your account, sourced from our internal scheduling and payroll systems, so you can track your earnings and completed classes.
• Technical and diagnostic information — device type, operating system version, and app version, used to diagnose connectivity or call-quality issues and to ensure compatibility with your device.
• We do not use any of our apps to display third-party advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs beyond the services described above.

Non-personal identification information

Our website separately collects technical data about visitor interactions, including browser type, computer specifications, operating system, and internet service provider information, for site analytics and security purposes.
